Synapse Relapse - Gertrude Street Projection Festival 2017
A Java application developed in Processing for the Gertrude Street Projection Festival 2017.
Synapse Relapse explores the unpredictable and impulsive behaviour of human brain activity. The work visualises memory function over time; in the early evening it reflects tranquility and organisation, transitioning into restless chaos as the night progresses. Developed in Processing using a custom designed algorithm, the visual output is chosen by chance, generating randomised images in motion. This element of chance is influenced by realtime local time data, mimicking the unpredictability of memory and thoughts throughout the day.
